In the event of an academy closure due to a case of Covid19 affecting a Bubble, or in the event that your child needs to self isolate, then work for their year group will be provided here.
For whole class or bubble closures the work provided will be made available via Microsoft Teams online. If you lack the resources for online learning, then email the academy on info@harrisprimaryorpington.org.uk putting ICT resources into the heading of your email.
Otherwise call 01689 830383 and ask to speak to Mrs Southern informing her that your child needs ICT support and telling her which year group this is for.
The timetable for online learning will be published on the year group tab. For whole academy closures lessons will be live via Teams and pupils will be expected to attend virtually during the lesson, just as they would in a normal school day. The work needs to be completed in the Exercise Book provided on the day of closure and feedback given by the teacher. You can email pictures of the books and tasks to the info@harrisprimaryorpington.org.uk with the name of your child's teacher in the subject box.
Your child's teacher will make a weekly welfare call and can provide feedback online. If your child has a question whilst on Teams they can press the "hands-up" button as their microphone will be silenced during the teacher's input.
Safeguarding
Your child's safety remains paramount to us. If you have any concerns or need advice please call and speak to Mrs Lone, our Designated Safeguarding Lead, on 01689 830383 or click here to email your concerns directly to the academy.

Here is some e-safety guidance for youtube use:

There is an expectation that all of our children will continue with their learning at home and teachers will keep in contact with families to offer support.
Well-Being
Remind your child that if they are worried about anything or need to talk to someone while the school is closed there are places they can go for support. For example, Childline can be contacted for free on 0800 1111, or children can get support online.
